About Me
As a humanistic practitioner my core belief is that every human is born with unique potential that, with the right conditions, can be fully realised. There are times when we find ourselves unable to move forward or cope with what has gone before. I am a therapist because I know from my own experience that therapy can have a profound and positive impact.

I initially trained as a Textile Designer, became an art teacher, child counsellor and now adult psychotherapist supervisor and trainer of child counsellors. There is a wounded child in all of us. Therapy shifted my perspective; a journey that took me into an exploration of Buddhism, philosophy, poetry and the arts, and the realisation of the immense capacity of the mind for change.

My Approach
There are many ways to heal; in addition to talking therapy I provide the option to work with creative mediums and teach some meditative practices and Emotional Focussed techniques. The arts can be really helpful in connecting us with our unconscious, moving us out of our cognitive brain, and revealing aspects of our selves that may have been unknown.
I want to help you understand that you can survive strong emotions; the events of the past don’t need to define your life completely. Healing does not always have to be a conscious process, but it does need to be a safe one. I provide a safe space for you to bring in all that you are and be accepted without judgement and I work in accordance to the BACP Ethical Framework.
